Drow Poison

Poison (Injury)

Drow Poison is typically only made by the Drow, and only in places far removed from the sunlight. It glows a faint, though beautiful purple color, but the exact source of the poison remains a secret among that folk.

Popular among their raiding parties when they visit the surface lands, they mostly use it in their slaving efforts. It is expensive, however, and rarely traded except by merchants who carefully guard their sources. It is sold in single dose crystal vials, often valuable artifacts on their own.

Effects : As an injury poison, any creature that takes slashing or piercing damage from an envenomed weapon or piece of ammunition is exposed to its effects. A creature subjected to this poison must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution (Poison) saving throw, or be Poisoned for one (1) hour. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature is also rendered unconscious, similar to a 1st Level Sleep (Enchantment) spell, as long as the poisoned status remains.

The exact means of creating this poison are a secret among select Drow clans, so its means of production are unknown.

The poison has a market value of roughly 2000 sp, per dose.
