“Ravens black,
On wings of night,
Nine worlds circled,
In their flight…”

Shadow ravens are undead birds created to serve as familiars and pets. Most are gifts from various evil gods and goddesses, or are called forth by necromancers through some unknown ritual. They have the general shape and appearance of a regular raven, but are composed of pure shadows. Their eyes glow a dark red, and their cries are screeching whispers. They obey their masters, but are willful and sly. They are always looking to feed.

Shadow ravens love to attack out of the night sky, dive-bombing the unaware. When indoors, they lie in wait in high, dark corners, always watchful for opportunities.

On the Shadowfell, these creatures are considered Beasts.
